The painting styles of the houses are of two themes: “blue sky and white cloud” and “mountain and river.” The painting theme is based on the house location and the painting of each house is different.

The “blue sky and white cloud” themed houses are mainly in Zhongtu Road, with blue sky and white clouds painted on roofs; and the “mountain and river” houses are in Maoshanxia Road, represented by patterns of water in streamlines and spindrift in dots.
