1. Shennv Peak

Shennv Peak, also known as Beauty Peak or Fairy Peak, ranks at the top of twelve Wushan peaks. It was also honored as the most amorous stone in the world. It is located at the north bank of the Yangtze River of Wuxia Gorge. One megalith juts from surrounding peaks and looks like a graceful and beautiful maid, from which came its name of Shennv Peak.

2. Hong'an Border Town

Shen Congwen described the love story of Cuicui, the daughter of a boatman, in the novel Border Town, a story that took place in Hong'an, the well known "portal of southeastern Chongqing". Hong'an, located at the junction of Chongqing, Hu'nan and Guizhou, is based on the hill at the back and overlooking the river. The surface of the lake ripples, depicting picturesque scenery.

3. Love Ladder

The Love ladder is located in Changle Village, Zhongshan Ancient Town. It is a flight of stairs carved by the reclusive old man Liu Guojiang by hand for his wife. In the 1950s, 20-year-old peasant Liu Guojiang fell in love with the widow Xu Chaoqing who is ten years older than him. In order to avoid the rumors, they eloped hand in hand to a thickly forested mountain 1500 meters above sea level. In order to guarantee Xu's going out safely, Liu has devoted his whole life to carve the stone stairway to the outer world. For decades, he carved a staircase of more than 6,000 steps, which was known as Love Ladder.
