CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The sixth Chongqing Cultural Industry Expo will be held in the north hall of the International Expo Center from September 14 to 17. The cultural expo has positioned itself as "based on Chengdu & Chongqing Economic Zones, radiating Yangtze River Economic Zone and global-oriented" with the theme of "communication, trade and combination". It will include six theme pavilions. Nearly 1000 merchants from 180 industries at home and abroad will participate in the exhibition.

Seven consulates in Chengdu and Chongqing from the United Kingdom, Japan, Hungary, Ethiopia, Italy, Australia and Poland will take part in the exhibition.

The Ethiopian Consulate General in Chongqing will bring exotic photography works and national costumes for citizens' appreciating and experiencing. The Consul General's family will also take part in this activity and hold a special coffee ritual abundant with Ethiopian flavor to welcome tourists. "Hot spring" is the highlight of the Hungarian Consulate General in Chongqing during this cultural expo. Hungary developed hot spring bathing therapy with the abundant hot spring resources in their country. During the exhibition, they will bring hot spring culture and balneotherapy and introduce them to visitors. In addition, the Hungarian Consulate General in Chongqing will bring European royal tribute (Botrytis) wine. They are available for citizens in the exhibition hall. In the exhibition booth of the British Consulate General in Chongqing, visitors will see the concept chairs from British designers as well as architectural models from a British construction company.

In addition, the cultures from UK, Nepal, Turkey and Cuba will form groups to participate in the exhibition. Various kinds of culture and arts products will be displayed on the exhibition hall, including handmade embroidery, cashmere shawl and carpet, jewelry, wood carving, natural gemstones spices, etc.

There are nearly 5,000 square meters of exhibition area. The nationwide — even worldwide — famous instrument brand, the national instrument training institutions and professional singers and bandsmen will gather here. "Rock with Music Feel" instruments theme exhibition will offer a special music experience for visitors.

Colorful arts and crafts will also be on display, including excellent works of masters.

Project director Zhou Chunguo said that the calligraphy and painting part will give priority to Japanese modern works, as well as counter-flow calligraphy and painting, including masterpieces from the Edo period, Tiannengcun Zhutian, Tiannengcun Zhiru and Gu Wenhuang. In the eight literati living space, visitors can see the handmade Chinese zither by the master Jin Wei. Also on display are the jade pendant, the sacrificial vessels jade and Yuhuang. In the tea making space, dozens of tea sets made during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties will be displayed. The famous tea accessories of iron kettle, fire pot and porcelain from the Meiji era will be also displayed.

The cultural expo will also feature a toy fair for pregnant women, infants and children with an area more than 11,500 square meters. The toy area is divided into the exhibition for infants and children, technology auditorium with “intelligent” robot, unmanned aerial vehicle flight experience, dreamlike Barbie show, baby DIY experience and an amusement park.
