2017-09-11 09:37:40

Following the armed field training, they started their next training exercise, “Shizi Peak”, after resting for less than ten minutes. Shizi Peak is at an elevation of 864m and more than 800m long. At steps with a nearly 50 degree gradient, the special task soldiers climbed up to the mountain top with full equipment step by step and went up and down rapidly ten times.

Next, there are scouting, sneaking, explosive handling, searching and rescuing, general physical training and other exercises waiting for special task soldiers.

“After joining the army, many fellow soldiers have the dream to be a special task force soldier, but not everyone can realize the dream,” said Huang Shiwei. After joining the army as a college student, now he is a special task force soldier in Detachment 2 at a training interval. It is really not easy to be a qualified special task force soldier.

The over ninety special task force soldiers participating in the “Devil Week” extreme training come from Detachments 1, 2 and 6 of the Chongqing Armed Police Corps. They will train 18 hours every day, including six hours at night, each carrying over 30kg loads. There are 38 training exercises, which mainly focus on mountain combat, armed chasing and escaping and extreme physical training. The whole training will challenge the physical and mental limits of participants, aiming to enhancing soldiers’ practical combat capacities such as “going, fighting, eating, staying, hiding, investigating and reporting” in harsh conditions.
