CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Wushan civil airport is located at the Taohua Mountain forestry center, the junction of Wushan county and Fengjie county with a first-stage planned area of 2698 mu. With an elevation between 1755 and 1771 meters, it's the highest civil airport in Chongqing. At present, the embryonic form of Wushan Airport has basically emerged. It is expected to open by the end of next year.

In accordance with the plan, beside one 2600-meter long and 45-meter wide mountain runway, five airport gates will be established to facilitate the takeoff and landing of medium and small sized transport planes like the Boeing 737 and Airbus A 320.
