CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Many colleges opened recently, and Chongqing has welcomed lots of students from other cities. According to the freshman data analysis, Chongqing has welcomed more and more non-local students as the enrollment volume increases.

According to our interview, they choose Chongqing mainly for three reasons: rapid development and more opportunities; unique landform, delicacies and night scene; as well as the profound culture.

The first reason is rapid development and more opportunities.

Li Peng, a freshman from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei studying Arabic, said that “I have checked the cities and foreign language schools when filing the intention for university and I prefer Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing for college study.”

“Although Beijing and Shanghai are more developed than Chongqing, Chongqing has been developing rapidly. I found that Chongqing requires more talents via TV and network reports.” Li said.

The landform, delicacies and night scene are attractive.

For many college students, Chongqing’s landform, delicacies and night scene are attractive.

Chen Jiali, a freshman from Chongqing Jiaotong University, said “I arrived at Chongqing two days before the registration day. I visited Chaotianmen, Jiefangbei, Hongyadong and other places with my parents and grandma. The beautiful night scene, Yangtze River Ropeway, snacks sold at Jiefangbei… All of these have impressed us a lot.”

It is reported that Sichuan International Studies University, Chongqing Technology and Business University and other colleges have issued a welcome manual, which introduces the tourism routes and restaurants to the freshmen.

The profound culture makes Chongqing more attractive.

Li Peng also visited many tourist sites, such as Gele Mountains and Zhazidong. “I’m greatly touched by the Hongyan Spirit and wharf culture.”

Liu Peipei, a freshman from Guangyuan, Sichuan and studying in the Art Department, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, expressed that the magnificent Three Gorges, various folk arts and the reputation of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute are the most attractive qualities for her.
