Huayan Tunnel will have one more east-west convenient access across Zhongliang Mountains, easing the traffic pressure. Huayan Tunnel may be the most romantic tunnel. This tunnel was put into use in October, easing the traffic pressure of Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway and Zhongliangshan Tunnel.

Line 10

By the end of 2017, Line 10 will be put into use. Its first phase is from Liyuchi Station to Wangjiazhuang Station, totaling about 34 kilometers, passing through Jiangbei District, Yubei District and Liangjiang New Area, and stopping at nineteen stations. After being put into use, it will connect CQEXPO, Jiangbei Airport, and the Chongqingbei Railway Station, providing a new level of urban rail transit.

Shapingba railway station comprehensive transportation hub

The Shapingba Railway Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub is soon to be finished, and it is undergoing final decoration. The hub will greatly ease the traffic pressure of Shapingba District. It is expected to open by the end of the December. It is built in seven layers underground, and includes a bus station, taxi stand, high-speed train station, pedestrian path, high-speed train transfer hall, outbound channel, transit station and Line 9 station, meeting different demands of travelers.
