In 1992, the movie “The Bodyguard” starring Whittney Houston caused a wave of cinema craze. The theme song "I Will Always Love You" is still widely sung. The musical version of “The Bodyguard” was adapted from the film and opened in Shanghai to begin the Chinese tour in June. Chongqing was selected as the only venue in southwest China.
