Here are some places where you can have a panoramic view of Chongqing along Nanbin Road.

Site I: Danzishi Plaza

It is located at the CBD, Danzishi, Nanbin Road, and from here you can witness the Yuzhong Peninsula and Jiangbeizui. From “Yuding Plaza”, you can see the cutting lines of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. Danzishi Plaza has an elevation of 50 meters, features five viewing levels, and overlooks Chongqing, perfectly showing off the well-proportioned landforms. Meanwhile, Danzishi Plaza connects Landmark Riverside Park, Danzishi Old Street, Chongqing Madame Tussauds and the Sea Life amusement park. At present, the said the Old Street will be made a national AAAA scenic spot and will be another landmark of Chongqing.

Site II: Nanbin Road Yanyu Park

Nanbin Road is the one of the best places for appreciating night scenes. It has the Sheraton Petronas Tower — which is a landmark of Chongqing — and the largest dry ground music fountain in Asia.

Site III: Dongyuan 1891 Time Place

The name is derived from the port opening of Chongqing in 1891. Its second level viewing deck is a good place for viewing the night scene.

Site IV: Nanbin Clock Tower Plaza

It is close to both the Ciyun and Qianfo Temples, and chimes in with Chaotianmen Plaza and the Grand Theater. From here, you can see the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. It is a good place to spend your off hours.

Nanshan Mountain

The Nanshan Mountain is nicknamed the “lung lobe” and “crown of Chongqing”, integrating Dayu culture, religion culture, food culture, flower culture and others, and having the symbolic meaning of the mountain city. You can climb the South Mountain and enjoy the night scene from there.

Site I: 9 Street Yihuali Park

You can see six districts all from the 360-degree viewing place. The Park has eight natural scenic spots. The Yihuali Bazar is about 500 meters long. You can enjoy the traditional handicraft manufacturing process here. It is the only bazar of intangible cultural heritage. You can play, consume and experience here, or participate in making handicrafts.

Site II: Yikeshu Viewing Deck

It is located at the hillside of South Mountain, and it is named from a ficus lacor. From here, you can enjoy the night scene; and you will see how water and mountains surround the city.

Site III: River-watching Pavilion

River-watching Pavilion is the only landscape building of the Museum of Historic Relics of Anti-Japanese War. From here, you can enjoy the Yangtze and Jialing River views. Sankuaishi, close to the River-watching Pavilion is a popular site for photographers.

Site IV: Nantianmen
