Forming integrated transportation hub with 4000 reserved parking spaces

The Shapingba Station is the high-speed passenger station. In addition to the ten automatic ticket-selling machines, 32 ticket taking machines and 34 automatic access gate machines in the waiting hall and ticket lobby, there are also eight barrier free elevators and 13 escalators in the waiting area and platform floor to transport passengers.

According to the urban planning, Line 9 will also be built at the east and west roads of Shapingba Station. At the same time, the rail transit loop is located under Tianchen Road. According to the construction plans, the station makes full use of the underground space to build seven underground floors, including a bus platform, high-speed rail platform, pedestrian passageway and rail transit floor to facilitate passengers' transfer.

As a passenger flow relatively concentrated high-speed station, Shapingba station has reserved up to 4,000 car parking spaces from underground floors 1 to 7, relieving the parking pressure for Shapingba central district at the same time.

The time it will take from Chengdu and Chongqing will be shortened to one hour beginning next year.

In the future, the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway will not stop at Chongqingbei Railway Station for consuming more time after passing Bishan. After the opening of Shapingba Station, the Chengdu-Chongqing high speed railway can be directly introduced into the Chongqing railway hub. Then the time it will take from Chengdu to Chongqing will be reduced from 1.5 hours to 1 hour, achieving the 1 hour traffic circle.
