Renovated village gate at Jinlongzhai Village

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Jinlongzhai Village, Lizi Township, Fengdu County, is at the southern bank of the Yangtze River, about 60km from the county. It is a natural village leaning against the cliff, with other sides surrounded by river. The village was established at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty and the 48 villages were completed by the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. The distinctive village consists of several historic sites and relics.

Among the 48 villages, Jinlongzhai is highest one, with an altitude of over 1,400m. After hundreds of years, the village gates and tablet inscriptions are still legible.

As people’s living is improved, many office workers prefer to have holidays in villages. The government of Lizi Township began to develop rural tourism at Jinlongzhai Village in 2015.

A 2km long and 1.8m wide sightseeing path is built. The path is built upward helically and keeps a gradient of 70°. The completed Jinlongzhai Scenic Spot has over 10 sites.
