CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The movie, “Ferdinand,” created by Hollywood Animation Production Team - Blue Sky Studios be is scheduled to be shown on January 19th and will be the first Hollywood animation put on in China in 2018. The film was directed by the same team which made “Ice Age” and “Rio,” which have attracted many fans in China. Some Chinese audiences said they are looking forward to the new film.

“Ferdinand” was adapted from a classical Spanish history story published in 1936 and was adapted into an animated short in 1938 by Walt Disney. That movie won the Academy Award for Animated Short Film of the year. In the same year, the sales volume of the story exceeded “Gone with the Wind”, becoming the bestseller in the US. The book also appeared in “The Blind Side”, the winner of Academy Award for Best Picture in 2010, where the hero’s experience has some connection with Ferdinand.

It is known that to resurrect the unique Spanish scenes in the story, the production team went to Spain. The color tones and decorations of the film are all based on the real scenes in Spain, including the village and field where Ferdinand lived. The special festival atmosphere of Spain will also be shown in the film. (Translated by Ma Shuangshuang, Fathom Language Limited)
