CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Eaglewood culture is the traditional culture of China. The first-class eaglewood is the deposit of time and skills. Jiulong Eaglewood Museum at Jiubin Road, Chongqing is the only eaglewood museum in southwest China and one of the three in China. The curator, Ling Kun, is a native of Chongqing, who has researched the incense lore for more than ten years to inherit the incense culture in Chongqing.

When stimulated by a wound or fungal infection, the eaglewood tree will secrete lots of resin of intense aroma covering the tree body, which will become eaglewood after a long period. The quality eaglewood is formed after dozens or even hundred years, so the yield is very poor and the supply falls short of demand. The quality eaglewood is very precious and of high collection value.

Throughout the history, many master artists like creating wood sculptures for collection and viewing by using precious eaglewood. The eaglewood sculpture works at the Museum are vivid with clear grain.
