CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Great changes will happen to Nanshan. Nan’an District announced that it will invested 10 billion yuan for construction of Nanshan Central Mountain Park, in order to create the ecological “green heart” of Chongqing through ecological restoration, comprehensive governance and layout of some infrastructures as well tourism projects.

The Central Mountain Park is consisted of three parts: a core area, the 35.8km2 Nanshan Sub-district, which will be under strict protection for urban viewing balcony and recreational space; a 20km2 large peripheral area, which will be used as the nest of some tourism projects and infrastructures; and a construction area, i.e., the Nanshan’s closed mining area covering an area of 7km2, which will be constructed into a town of characteristic industry of Nanshan after ecological restoration and comprehensive governance.

After the completion of Nanshan Central Mountain Park, it will join the “half-hour living zone” of urban Chongqing and become another destination of Nanshan Scenic Area, offering a place to tourists for relaxation and promoting continuous improvement of Nanshan ecological zone’s environment quality.
