CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The high-profile Phase-I of the Chongqingxi Railway Station, otherwise known as the Shapingba Railway Integrated Transportation Hub Project, is expected to open in January.

Located between Shapingba and Jiulongpo, the Chongqingxi Railway Station Integrated Transportation Hub is one of the “mains” in Chongqing’s “three-main and two-auxiliary” planning as well as the beginning and end of trunk railways such as Chongqing-Guizhou, Chongqing-Kunming, Lanzhou-Chongqing, Xiangfan-Chongqing and Chongqing-Guiyang railways.

After the Chengdu-Chongqing High-Speed Railway Hub Section and Shapingba Station are opened, the time from Chongqing to Chengdu will be reduced to one hour. It will only take two hours from Chongqing to Guiyang, four hours to Xi’an, Kunming, Wuhan and Changsha, six hours to Guangzhou and eight hours to Beijing and Shanghai.
