Lower Xiaojiawan Park is of complex topography and enjoys an altitude difference of 70m.

Hutouyan Park is well-maintained and is a good place for leisure and body-building exercises.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Hutouyan Park and Lower Xiaojiawan Park in Yuzhong District will open soon. The most attractive parts of these two parks are the ridge-seated and suspension footpaths which separately manifest the geomorphologic characteristics of Chongqing.

Hutouyan Park

Features: hanging corridor overlooking the city and river view

Hutouyan Park, in Hutouyan, Yuzhong District, is opposite the Hong’ensi Park in Jiangbei District across the river and adjacent to Hongyan Revolution History Museum, Changhe Road and Jingwei Avenue.

Hutouyan Park consists of a leisure square at the entrance, a footpath halfway up the mountain, the ridge-seated footpath phase I and section A in phase II, covering an area of about 7.14 hectares.

The ridge-seated footpath is one of the highlights of this Park. The section above Changhe Road has the best view. The footpath is 2.7km long and the first 1.9km is in service. Since the whole footpath is built along the ridge of Hutouyan, it is the best place to overlook the whole city.

It is not merely a place for relaxation, but also a new card of Chongqing to attract visitors.

People can walk to Eling Park from Hongyan Village through the Hutouyan Park along the footpaths. Meanwhile, people can appreciate the scenery, taste Chongqing’s history and culture and overlook the city and Jialing River on the way.

Lower Xiaojiawan Park

Features: suspension footpath enjoying an altitude difference of 70m

The suspension footpath, enjoying an altitude difference of 70m thought only to be seen in scenic area is found right in a public park.

Lower Xiaojiawan Park is located at Xiaojiawan, Daping, Yuzhong District. The Park is of complex topography and fully manifests the geological characteristics of Chongqing. Because of the high altitude difference of 70m, it is not easy to access.

To connect the viewing platform and tourist attractions in the park, a suspension plank road is built based on the footpath of Chongqing style and the design is tailored to the local conditions. (Translated by Xu Mengmiao, Fathom Language Limited)
