CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As planned, in addition to Chongqingbei Railway Station, Chongqingxi Railway Station, Chongqing Station and Shapingba Railway Station, Chongqing will also have the Chongqingdong Railway Station, implement Chongqing Station’s renovations, adjust Chongqing Station’s function, and build the terminal line from Chongqingdong Railway Station to Chongqing Station in order to form a special transportation terminal system.

Chongqing has five railway stations in downtown areas. Perhaps some people do not know which station would best suit their needs.

Now, I will show you the division of such five railway stations, their functions, and stops.

Chongqing Station

Location: Caiyuanba

The station opened in July 1952, with four platforms and seven platform surfaces, connecting to the Chongqing – Guiyang, Chengdu – Chongqing and Chongqing – Xiangyang Railways.

Toward: K1583 from Chongqing – Urumchi; K5612 from Chongqing – Neijiang; K5629 from Chonhqing – Zunyixi Railway Station; K2637 & K2611 from Chongqing – Xining; K1004 from Chongqing – Xi’an; K1064 from Chongqing – Harbin; K590 from Chongqing – Beijingxi Railway Station; K1583, K2611 & K2637 from Chongqing – Lanzhou

Shapingba Railway Station

Location: Shapingba

As an important railway station connecting Chongqing railway terminals and the Chengdu – Chongqing Railway, its expansion began in 2012.

The Chongqing Railway Station and Chongqing Transport Commission issued the Timetable of Trains starting January 25, including that of the Chongqingxi and Shapingba Railway Stations. The timetable of Shapingba shows that ten rounds of trains will run on the Chengdu – Chongqing Railway, and pass by the Shapingba Railway Station from 10:00 to 22:06. All trains will arrive at Chengdudong Railway Station.
