CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the condition of a patient who suffers from paroxysmal disease in Rongchang District and left for medical treatment in urban city worsened on the highway. He was sent to the hospital by helicopter. It takes only 30 minutes to take the patient to hospital, shortening the expected time of driving by an hour.

The mission used a Jinhui AW109SP professional medical configuration helicopter, equipped with advanced medical equipment certified for airworthiness, including a breathing machine, defibrillation monitors, syringe pumps and aspirator. Emergency care can be achieved in the air, so it's known as the "Air 120". During the flight, a medical staff member of the Ninth People's Hospital of Chongqing conducted emergency care for the patient.

This is the first "Air 120" case of rescue on the highway of Chongqing. Last October, the Chongqing Traffic Committee convened a meeting on air emergency rescue on expressways to promote the construction of the rescue system for Chongqing expressways.
