CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- People began to return to their workplaces on the last day of the Spring Festival holiday. The railway stations, bus stations and airports all met their peak time.

Spring Festival holiday came to an end and it was time to return. Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. delivered nearly six million passengers during the Spring Festival holiday, according to data from China Railway Chengdu Bureau. Chongqingbei Railway Station delivered about 100,000 passengers per day.

Mr. Gong, 70, living with his children in Beijing, returned to his hometown in Qianjiang with his elder sister for the Spring Festival holiday. He transferred at Chongqingbei Railway Station to a train to Chengdu for a two-day holiday before returning to Beijing. He held the orchid sent by his younger brother in hand with great care, to pin all his homesickness on it.

Youyang-born Chen Xiaoying is a building material contractor in Chengdu. She had left her hometown for 9 years. This year, she returned home and stayed for several days. Before her leaving, her mother bought her over 150 eggs and made Ciba (glutinous rice cake) for her to bring back to Chengdu.
