CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- You can fly even in home. In recent years, indoor skydiving has become popular. Did you know a national competition will be held soon in Chongqing? According to Jihuayuan in the Liangjiang New Area, from March 24 - 25, the “Jihuabei” National Indoor Skydiving Championship will be held at the Chongqing Jihuayuan Extreme Sports Center. Over 150 amazing indoor skydivers will give an incredible flying show to the audience.

Two new items in the competition to appreciate

The National Indoor Skydiving Championship is currently considered the highest level in our nation. In 2017, National Indoor Skydiving was held at the Chongqing Jihuayuan Extreme Sports Center as well.

This year, the competition will add two new challenges: “double race” and “stunt.” It will bring much more excitement to the competition.

As a new sport, the organization has established an amateur group with no age limit specifically to encourage more people to take part in this activity.

First class venues for competition and pleasure environment

This is the second time that Chongqing has hosted the championship. According to Fangjihuayuan, with the best equipment in the world, they can generate a wind speed of up to 255.6km/hour in the cabin. People can easily fly in it. Through coordination of hands and feet or changing of the center of gravity, athletes can accomplish many different movements like swirls, somersaults and hovering. They can also make figures with other participants, performing rehearsed or spontaneous actions.

In addition to facilities for extreme sports, Chongqing Jihuayuan also features a fashion shopping hall, special hot spring hotel, indoor ski resort, global food center and large conference center.
