Site of opening ceremony of “2018 International Forest Day” themed publicity activities.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- March 21 is the sixth “International Forest Day”. Themed publicity activities sponsored by the Chongqing Forestry Bureau and China Association for Science and Technology were begun officially at the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum in order to improve citizens’ recognition of the importance of forests and guide people to care, protect, develop and use forests better.

This “International Forest Day” has a theme of “forest and sustainable city”. In the opening ceremony, with the slow pouring of green “quicksand” from guests’ hands, a green forest city that was quite familiar to us appeared with the rendering of the green sand: Chongqing. It marked the official initiation of this year’s “International Forest Day” activities.

“Wow, I saw this bird in Caiyun Lake”, “How surprising - Chongqing urban area has wild boars”, “I didn’t know Chongqing had so many forest parks!”. All the children and their families visited the opening ceremony with great interest. The site was divided into three regions: “Forest and Me” themed exhibition area, “International Forest Day” themed science popularization area and Chongqing biodiversity photo exhibition area.
