CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing’s hot Yangtze River Cableway has been always popular, with daily visits by tourists reaching 11,000. According to a report, though faced with so many people, the scenic spot still had a well organized environment.

Garbage collectors run around all day long

Though it was a workday, there was a long queue at the entrance of the scenic spot. Tourists, with water and snacks in hands, waited patiently in the queue. There was a mass of people, but everything was well organized and no rubbish was scattered on the ground at all.

How did they keep the ground free of rubbish? Two commentators walked around in the queue with hands pushing a moderate sized rubbish collector: One was responsible for pushing the rubbish collector and the other was responsible for picking up rubbish with tongs.

The commentator said this was the pushcart specially prepared for the scenic area. It was mainly used to clean rubbish in the queuing area.

More than 120 volunteers were always ready

“See, this is our volunteer library, and there have been 120 volunteers including our workers!” a scenic area worker told the journalist while pointing to the form on the table.

The form records the names, contacts and position of volunteers in detail. All volunteers were recruited in the first half year of last year. These volunteers provide service mostly on weekends or holidays and their primary duty is to lead tourists and maintain scenic area order.

In 2017, the Yangtze River Cableway received 4 million person-times tourists. Besides this gratifying tourist number, Yangtze River Cableway also created a beautiful tourism environment with attentive service. (Translated by Zhao Jingpeng, Fathom Language Limited)
