The skirts during King Louis XVI period debuted in Chongqing.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, the "Modern Secrets of the Year - European and American Classic Underskirt Products Exhibition" was held at the Yuan Art Museum on Nanbin Road. More than 100 European and American antique underskirt boutiques spanning two centuries - from 1775 to 1975 - were displayed. It is also the first European and American underskirt cultural exhibition held in Chongqing.

From gorgeous skirts to exquisite bodice, the works are presented in chronological order, exhibiting representative works and essence of underskirts of different periods in Europe and America. From the exhibition, the audience could appreciate the changing fashion of the underskirt, social development, careful traditional craftsmanship, talent and creativity of designers.

It is reported that this exhibition was supported by the French underwear museum Nuitsde Satin Paris. The museum has a collection of precious underwear such as underskirts, tights, and swimwear that enjoy a high reputation internationally. It is the museum with the most collections and richest variety of underwear in the world.

The founder of the Nuitsde Satin Paris museum, Gislin Rui Ye, said that the items on exhibit in Chongqing consist of over 100 items from more than 5,000 collections.
