People took part in the activity of A One-day Porter.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, a group of special visitors came to the Shizi Mountain Sports Park in Yubei District, Chongqing. Each of them carried a yellow bamboo stick on their backs and a nylon rope in their hands, taking part in an activity about porters. Crowds of people applauded and cheered for them enthusiastically. They were in the activity called “A One-day Porter,” the offline part of the large-scale public benefit endeavor known as “Looking for the Disappearing Porters.” Those inexperienced porters were the participants of the activity.

The large-scale public benefit activity, “Looking for the Disappearing Porters,” came to a successful conclusion before the offline activity was held. The sponsor found five porters and covered their life stories from various angles on multiple platforms and in different forms, such as texts, audio, pictures and videos. This has drawn the attention of people from all walks of life and stimulated heated discussion about the disappearing porters.

The five porters, Mr. Su, Mr. Chen, Mr. Shi Zhongxue, Mr. Hang and Ms. Zhang Jiaxiu, joined in the activity, too. Mr. Su is a man of integrity and honesty, although he is not well educated. Zhang Jiaxiu is a woman porter making a living in Chongqing barefooted. Mr. Chen has made a successful career transition in the Internet era. Shi Zhongxue is the most successful porter in the career transition with longest working experience as a porter. Mr. Hang is an honest and kind-hearted man who has suffered hardships. As the special guests of the activity, they helped participants to carry heavy things as a one-day porter.

There were three games during the activity: a mysterious task, carrying things in limited time and three powerful porters. Participants’ power, endurance and cooperation were respectively tested during the three games. Ten newbie porters spared no pains to fight for the games.
