CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A light rail made of radishes, Jiefangbei with a “cap” of onion, Hongyadong built with cookies, a bridge constructed by capsicum frutescens, highways paved with black sesame… Have you ever seen the landmarks of Chongqing made of food? These works have swept over our Wechat these days.
Seven young people from different industries such as advertising and photography have made six landmarks of Chongqing with food in thirty days to show their love for this city.
Liziba: carriages carved in radishes
Light rails of Chongqing have become a popular scenic spot on Internet these years, among which the light rail that passes through a building at Liziba is the most renowned. Mahoujun, a photographer born in the 1990s, is a member of the production team. “Liziba Station is the first landmark that came to my mind when we caught this idea.”
Let’s have a look at this work: the carriages are carved with radishes, all hollowed-out, with tens of micro figures placed in, reminding us of the rush hours of Chongqing. According to Mahoujun, in addition to Liziba Station, the three-storey highway of Chongqing is also reflected in this work.
