CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The “Yubei Cup” Group Invitational Tournament of China Rating Tour (CRT) was held at the Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College the other day, attracting over 100 tennis fans from ten teams across Chongqing to release their power and passion for sports.

This tournament is sponsored by the CRT Executive Committee and undertaken by the Yubei Sports Cause Development Center and Yubei Sports Federation. Members of the Yubei Tennis Association and other tennis clubs were invited to the tournament. The group competition consists of one women’s doubles and two men’s doubles. For the first men’s doubles, the summation of the player’s age for each team shall not be lower than 70; for the women’s doubles, there’s no requirement on age; and for the second men’s doubles, the summation of the player’s age for each team shall not be lower than 80. The standard of the NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) is used as the reference, and the ten teams were divided into Team A and Team B. According to the provisions, the level score for Team A shall not be lower than 3.0, while that for Team B shall not exceed 3.0. Single cycle competition has been organized between the two teams.

To encourage the teams, a cash bonus was also prepared by the organizing committee. The bonus was granted for teams ranking from the first to the fourth based on total scores, and the total bonus is 14,000 yuan. A bonus of 2,000 yuan, 1,000 yuan and 500 yuan was granted for players ranking the first, second and third of each team respectively, while 100 yuan was awarded to the wining team of each competition.
