CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The greenery landscape covering over ten million square meters is decorating Chongqing. According to the Municipal Urban Management Committee, efforts have been made to improve the landscaping quality of urban roads, expressways, bridgeheads, joints of interchanges, railway transportation and mountains in the city. Over 170 roads (10 million square meters) have now been dressed up with greenery landscape by municipal and district government efforts.

All dead wood and wild vines have been removed to refresh the urban environment. In addition, by arranging arbors, shrubs, grass and flowers properly and rationally, there will always be blooming flowers throughout the year, presenting natural and splendid scenery in the city.

A gorgeous landscape has been delivered to the urban roads with the improvement project. The district government of main urban areas has answered the call actively and started to design a greening plan and purchase nursery stock. Over a million varieties of plants such as bougainvillaea, lagerstroemia indica, red maple, azalea and Chinese roses have been planted along urban roads and expressways.
