CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Nantian Lake, registered as a National Tourist Resort, is to officially open this August.

Located at the gorgeous bank of the Yangtze River, Fengdu utilizes its ecological advances to its biggest advantage and potential. The first quarter of this year saw some 2.87 million visitors with a tourism revenue of 1.306 billion yuan, an increase of 16.24 and 11.86% respectively compared with last year.

Nantian Lake Tourist Resort is located 45km from Fengdu County and 160 from the main areas of Chongqing. The resort is 1400-1992m above sea level, and features primitive forests, alpine lakes and natural grassland.

The Fengdu Tourism Administration reported that the Nantian Lake Tourist Resort is part of the Greater Xiannv Mountain Tourism Area. It has a planned total area of 74.48 km2 for the integration of forest leisure, heath resort, outdoor sports, sightseeing tour and popular science. It is a refreshing iconic place of interest for tourism and leisure resorting in the area of Fengdu.

A spokesperson from the Nantian Lake Tourist Resort said that tourists can visit ten places of interest such as Chahua Valley and Qingren Valley, drive electric cars, watch movies projected onto waterfalls, play beach ball, take a small forest train, ride a horse, row a boat, take hot-balloon rides and tour Nantian Lake in a helicopter.
