A new observation platform will be built in Lizaba Park across from Liziba Railway Station in Yuzhong District. The platform covers 1,367m2 and supporting functional rooms cover about 300m2. There will also be parking lots for tour buses and a footpath to Liziba Park.

2. Two elevators for evacuation will be built in Hongyadong.

These scenic spots in Yuzhong District, to be upgraded, are popular with tourists: Hongyadong, Yangtze River Cableway, Liziba Railway Station, Kuixing Tower in Jiefangbei, air bridge in Jiefang East Road, the second factory in Eling, piano staircase in Linjiangmen Railway Station, Lianglukou Huangguan Escalator and so on.

“For example, tourists spent long time waiting for the Yangtze River Cableway, so we will upgrade the booking system.” Qin Rumei, the director of Tourism and Development Committee of Yuzhong, said. In addition, lights in Yangtze River Cableway and carriages will be upgraded by adding decoration of the cable’s carriage to show historical culture of old Chongqing.

“Two elevators for evacuation will be built in Hongyadong to realize single tourist flow in the scenic spot,” Qin Rumei said. It will also solve the bad smell caused by historical reasons in the spot. An underground passage connected with Tieban Alley will be constructed.
