CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The new address for the Jialing River Cableway has attracted the attention of the public. Daijia Alley, one of the alternative addresses, has become a popular topic. It is reported that there will be a park on the cliff of Daijia Alley and a footpath with a 60-meter waterfall is under construction, directly connecting to the river bank of Jiabin Road.

As the major project of cultural tourism in the Yuzhong District, the cliff park in Daijia Alley will be completed in October this year. Construction included a park footpath, decorative lighting, landscape planting and unstable rock treatment. The park on the cliff will be a three-dimensional magic spot in the future.

Near Hongyadong

Daijia Alley is located on the cliff between Kuixing Tower in Linjiangmen and Hongyadong. The Jialing River is under the 60-meter cliff. Jiangbeizui is across from the park, which is near Hongyadong, a famous scenic spot.

The city wall ruins of the old Chongqing are located here. Li Zhengquan, an expert on toponymy in Chongqing, says that the huge rock has been called the “flying rock” since the Qing Dynasty. The city wall of Chongqing used the cliff as the wall for its precipitous topography, so the cost of building a city wall in Dajia Alley was very low. The parapet wall was built as guard bars and secondary armaments.

Li Zhengquan says Daijia Alley is the most direct and adventurous place if you want to know about the features of the old Chongqing city wall. “Looking up from Jiabin Road, Daijia Alley on the cliff is inside the city, which is easy to hold but hard to attack. And this is the city wall of Chongqing.”

Cliff park to Jiabin Road directly

All units and departments, such as transport company, salt industry company, shipping company and others, were set up here after 1949. Most of the existing buildings were built from the 1970s to 1990s.

Li Zhengquan says that everyone should remember the history and culture of the old Chongqing city wall with the construction of the old blocks in Daijia Alley today.

There is a mountain footpath around the city wall ruins and piedmont, which is to Binjiang Square on Jiabin Road directly. It will be one of the twelve scenes in Daijia Alley for the 60-meter waterfall between the connected slope and riverbank to strongly intensify the relationship between Hongyadong and Kuixing Tower.
