From a river type reservoir to a hill reservoir

In fact, the earliest Yinglong Lake was only part of the Changtang River section of the Yinglong Town, which was generally southwest to northeast, forming more open V type longitudinal river valley.

In 2012, the State Forestry Administration approved the construction of the Chongqing Yinglonghu National Wetland Park, and realized the transformation from the river type reservoir ecological environment to the hill reservoir ecological environment.

At present, before the wetland park is enlarged with the total area of 222.15 hectares, the new wetland park is added 141.85 hectares. This will be the largest wetland park in the main urban areas of Chongqing.

Although the Chongqing Yinglonghu National Wetland Park is not open to the outside world, the natural landscape artistic conception may be rare in the main urban areas of Chongqing -- which not only preserves various wetland landscapes, such as natural pool, brook and valley, and floodplain, but also cultivates good forest vegetation and water for the migration of birds of prey and the habitat of wild animals.

After opening to the outside world, visitors can not only experience the natural artistic conception of colorful lotus, flower fragrance, and so on accompanied with the butterfly flying and gently birds twitter in the park, but also appreciate the natural drop and hierarchy of cascade reservoirs.

Over 1400 oriental cherries and more than 20 kilometers footpath

After many years of conservation, restoration and reconstruction, the wetland function of the park is more reasonable, and the boundary of the wetland is more distinct, showing different scenes in four seasons.

According to persons in charge, the wetland park is expected to open to visitors within the year, including the peony garden with blooming flowers all year around. The park will also introduce viewing area with more than 1400 oriental cherries and special red maple viewing area. In addition to displaying common plants, such as peach trees, plum trees, pear trees and rape, agricultural culture facilities such as long corridors, raised path and thatched pavilion will be injected into the farming area. It is conceivable that this will be a good place for photographers to shoot.

In addition, the wetland park will provide comfortable rest spaces for tourists adopting a combination of popularization of science and tourism. Among them, all the stairways use anti-slip tiles, blue stone and so on, forming footpath with more than 20 kilometers. At the same time, tourists can camp and picnic in designated areas.
