CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Since entering the flood season this year, the Chongqing Lighting Authority has taken several flood prevention measures to obtain information on floods in time. Recently, the Chongqing Lighting Authority obtained the latest flood forecast information from the Harbor Navigation Administration and the Yuzhong Flood Control Office. Due to the fierce rise of the flood, it is expected to have a serious impact on the lighting facilities on both sides of the river. The Chongqing Lighting Bureau organized relevant personnel to urgently dismantle 9,605 sets of various types of lights worth some 10 million yuan on the banks of the Yangtze River and Jialing River to avoid damage caused by the transit flood.

After learning that there will be a flood going through Chongqing, the City Lighting Authority immediately launched an emergency plan. According to a relevant person in charge, in order to reduce the loss of lighting facilities and ensure the safety of facilities and personnel, the authority decided to dismantle embankment lights 185 meters below the water level of the Yangtze River and 186 meters below Jialing River, including the Daxigou-Hongyadong section and the Changbin Road section in Yuzhong District; the Jiahua Bridge - Yu’ao Bridge section and Chang'an Water Plant - Qiansimen Bridge section in Jiangbei District, Changjiahui - Ciyun Temple section and Haitang Yanyu Park - the south end of the Yangtze River Bridge section in Nan'an District.
