Chongqing Xiyong Transportation Hub is put into use.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It’s learned from Chongqing Transportation Holdings Group Limited that Chongqing Xiyong Transportation Hub has been in use since July 16th. What routes will be available for the Hub? And how do they make rapid transfer with bus and rail transit? There is a newly-compiled transportation guide for you.

Eight bus routes for the initial operation

Located at No. 8, Jinxiu Road, Xiyong Sub-district, Shapingba District, and adjacent to Laijiaqiao Station of Line 1, Xiyong Transportation Hub is a comprehensive hub for transfer of long-distance transport, public transport, rental transport, rail transit and public vehicles.

The Hub has 4 floors -- only Floor 1 (ground floor) and Basement Floor 1 are in use at present. Ticket Hall and Waiting Room are on the Floor 1.

Four ticket counters and 6 self-service ticket machines were set up for the long-distance transport in the hub. Eight bus routes to Hechuan, Dazu, Shuangqiao, Tongliang, Sanjiao, Mianyang, Chengdu and Tongnan will be opened in the initial period.

Multiple ways to purchase tickets

The Hub now sells tickets online, which means that passengers can pre-purchase long-distance bus tickets from now on.

When Xiyong Transportation Hub is in full operation, passengers can buy tickets in various ways such as via ticket counters, self-service ticket machines, 愉客行 App, etc. There will be 15 days for passengers to pre-purchase.

The person in charge said that facial recognition systems will be implemented in the Hub for long-distance bus passengers later. Passengers buying tickets online don’t need to retrieve a physical copy when they are at the station. Instead, they can have their face scanned by the facial recognition system at boarding gates and compared with their ID card. Once matched, they are allow to take the bus. In this way information are synthesized for the ticket, passenger and ID verification.

Convenient transfer with bus and rail transit

Is it more convenient for passengers to transfer after the Xiyong Transportation Hub becomes available? The reporter learned that passengers may directly enter the Hub by walking past an aisle and taking an escalator after taking off at Laijiaqiao Station of Line 1.

Travelers may also arrive here by taking Bus 545, 546, 547 and Chongqing Real Estate College to North Square of Chongqing North Railway Station Special Line.
