113-yr-old passes away in China's county of longevity

NANNING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- A 113-year-old woman passed away Wednesday in a county known for longevity in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said.

Huang Magan was born in 1905 and lived in Bapantun of Ping'an Village in Bama Yao Ethnic Autonomous County, the county government said.

Huang and another woman, Huang Maxue, were married to the same husband before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. They lived together in one family until the husband died in 2005. Huang Maxue died in 2012.

Huang Magan had no major illnesses and passed away peacefully, the county authorities said.

Bama county has 300,000 people and over 90 people are aged over 100. The county has attracted a growing number of tourists.
