CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chen Peiliang and his wife, Chinese-Singaporeans, working for West Air, have got the "Chinese green card" – the “Permanent Residence Identity Card for Foreigners”. They are the first batch of foreigners who got the permanent residence on the recommendation of Chongqing free trade zone since the establishment of the National Immigration Administration on April 2 this year.

Chongqing Public Security Bureau has launched “14 favorable immigration measures to deepen Chongqing’s opening-up”. For high-level foreign talents who works in Chongqing free trade zone and meets the standard, he and his spouses and underaged children can directly apply for permanent residence in China on the recommendation of Chongqing free trade zone.

Chen Peiliang, working in the Chongqing free trade zone, has met the standard for high-level foreign talents in Chongqing. On the recommendation of the office of Chongqing free trade zone, Chen and his wife submitted their application for permanent residence to the Entry-Exit Administration of Chongqing Public Security Bureau. And they got the permanent residence identity card less than a half year.

Chen said that he has been working in Chongqing for four years. He is an executive and has been recognized as a high-level foreign talent in Chongqing, but he cannot enjoy the treatment of the permanent residence because he did not meet the application conditions before. He gets the Chinese "green card" now. This card is not only an identity card, but also can be used for the professional title assessment, social insurance, and a long-term residence visa, which has completely solved his worries and made him feel more secure in work.

The permanent residence identity card for foreigners is designed and produced according to the standards of the second-generation resident identity card. It is not only similar in appearance with the identity card, but also has the same functions in handling financial, education, medical, transportation, communications and social insurance affairs as the Chinese identity card, which brings great convenience.
