No casualties reported after magnitude 5.2 quake hits Tibet

LHASA, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- No casualties are reported after a magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Rutog County in Ngari Prefecture in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region at 12:04 p.m. Saturday.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 35.19 degrees north latitude and 81.11 degrees east longitude, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center .
"The epicenter is at the sparsely populated area near the border of Ngari and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region," said Ma Chunhong, head of the county publicity department.
A rescue team has been sent to the seismic area.
