Twin Cities under Attack opens in Chongqing Library
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The exhibition “Twin Cities under Attack: London and Chongqing during the WWII”, hosted jointly by Chongqing Library and Oxford University, opened in Chongqing Library for commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Bombing of Chongqing and the wartime friendship between Chongqing and London which were bombed by fascist states during the World War II.
The exhibition takes “bombing” as the theme. Historical pictures have been added from 73 provided by Oxford University to 134 on display, of which, over 50 pictures debut in public. This exhibition mainly features basic historical facts like the German and Japanese fascist bombing Chongqing and London during the World War II and the brave fighting of Chongqing and London people, and exposes the brutalities of the German and Japanese fascist during the war. It also reflects the indomitable fighting spirit of Chongqing and London people and the wartime friendship between Chinese and British people.
