CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Speaking of tourists to Chongqing, they will go to the must-see scenic spots such as Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. When talk about Chongqing food, hot pot is the most famous. If we combine them together, what will happen and what is it like? Now, let’s come and see how to put scenery and hot pot as a whole!

Change Chongqing’s landmarks into delicacies

The Jiefangbei (Chongqing People’s Liberation Monument) with a height of 40cm, the Yangtze Gold Cruises with a length of 35cm and other landmarks become miniature landscape models in spicy hot pot.

“The chili oil will melt when the pot is heated. Then we can place the food in and enjoy the hot pot.” Ren Li said that in order to make these miniature models, she and her friends spent almost a month to complete this task after doing many experiments.

Wish people have a better understanding of Chongqing

According to Ren Li’s introduction, for making the landmarks into chili oil of hot pot, they need to design and print out a 3D model, then use silica gel for modeling, and finally they can inject the chili oil for shaping. “It’s a tough work to make the models because they are too fragile to hold in hands. So we do one for three or four times.”

Fortunately, 12 landmarks were made, such as Jiefangbei (Chongqing People’s Liberation Monument), Hongyadong, Chongqing Grand Theater, Yangtze River Cableway, Jindao Valley, Ayi River, Mount Jinfo, Yangtze Gold Cruises and so on.

Ren Li hoped that by producing these spots model can make tourists have a better understanding about Chongqing.

Landmarks models are very well welcomed

After the red oil landmark models were made, Ren Li took a group of photos and shared them on Wechat Moments which gave her a lot of expectation.

Ren Li said that the purpose of doing this was to promote the beauty of Chongqing. She didn't think about any commercial use. Once spreading on the Internet, many hot pot shop owners saw business opportunities and wanted to buy these landmark models.

"At present, I have not decided what to do with the abrasive tools." Ren Li said that the chili oil landmarks need to be kept at the temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius, so the finished products are still in the freezer. As for how to deal with the final batch of finished products, Ren Li smiled and said, “I’ll eat them, of course! I am eating the hot pot with 'Chongqing Flavor' for the first time."
