CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 8 o'clock in the morning, Ms Chen, who is over 60 years old, and her neighbors came to the Longmenhao Old Street on Nanbin Road. She used to live here when she is young, and she was familiar with everything of the place. Now, there has been a dramatic change in every place.

The first opening area of the Longmenhao Historical and Cultural District is officially in business, and many tourists gathered here early. After Hongyadong, Liziba and other places have gone viral in the whole country, can Longmenhao Old Street with both connotation and value become the next hot attraction in Chongqing?

The feel of the Old Street

Walking in the Longmenhao Old Street, the heavy sense of history can be felt everywhere. Longmenhao Old Street is an old street where the essence of Chongqing culture is gathered. The excavation and restoration of its history cost a lot of energy and material resources from planners and thousands of craftsmen.

In the Old Street, you can see the rail transit train at close range.

Within the first opening area of Longmenhao Old Street, there are 27 buildings, including 6 district-level historical cultural protection units, 1 excellent historical building, and 20 architectural buildings. In order to protect and utilize the traditional scenery of Chongqing, Longmenhao Old Street has been repaired with more than 1.6 million pieces of old blue bricks, more than 400,000 pieces of old tiles, and more than 30,000 tons of sandstone slates. These old materials are all obtained from demolished buildings as is. Some are from Hubei and Hebei, and some are collected from Chongqing Fengdu, Zhongxian, Dianjiang and other counties.

After touring around Longmenhao Old Street, Ms Chen praised and said: "In the past, ruins were everywhere, and the roads were difficult to use. Now it is completely new, but you can still find the feel of the past. There is an inexplicable intimacy when you enter this place."

New elements for the Old Street

Longmenhao Old Street, standing on the bank of the Nan’an, was once the real "foreigner street", engraved with the memories of the older generation of Chongqing people. After its resurrection, Longmenhao Old Street is writing new stories.

Walking up from the bluestone pavement step by step to reach the highest point, there is the villa site of the former US military attache. Nowadays, it becomes the “Hero of Heart” e-sports interactive entertainment center of the League of Legends Development League in Chongqing competition venue.

Walking in the Longmenhao Old Street, the heavy sense of history can be felt everywhere.

Longmenhao Old Street plans to build the country's first offline entertainment experience scenic theme commercial complex - "Our Second World". This is a pan-anime world that has gathered e-sports game, anime, hip hop and future technology experience.
