More charging points to be built at bus stations

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the Chongqing Bayi Public Transportation Stations Management Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as the company), due to the renewal of old bus in the main urban areas, the company will build charging points and comprehensive supporting facilities at over 70 bus stations (including the first and last stations) which are located within the 2nd Ring Road in the main urban areas to further facilitate the charging of battery electric bus.
The charging points built at the bus stations all use DC charging points of 60KW or above 120KW. The fastest charging speed is 2 kilowatt-hours/min. The interface of charging points is available for new energy vehicles of different brands.
At present, 230 DC fast charging points have been put into use at 12 bus stations in the main urban areas, which are mainly distributed in the South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, Nanping West Road Bus station, Shuangfeng Bus station, Huayuan Xincun Bus station, Yubei Chengnan Bus station, Erlang Station, Beibei Chengnan Bus station, Jinshan Bus station, Konggang Bus station, Beihe Bus station and Chayuan Transfer Hub and Shipingqiao Maintenance Plant.
Over 70 charging points are to be put into use at the Niujiaotuo Bus station, 217 Bus station at Shuangbei, Xiyong and Longzhouwan Transfer Hubs and other bus stations in November this year.
The charging points in these bus stations can not only meet the charging demand of battery electric bus, but also open to new energy vehicles owned by the public.
In addition, the company said it will set the corresponding service facilities at bus stations to facilitate the charging of owners’ cars, including rest area, new energy automobile supermarket, new energy vehicle experience center. (Translated by Jiang Yuling, Fathom Language Limited)
