Athletes may appreciate the gorgeous autumn cityscape while enjoying the pleasure of marathon. Worthy to be mentioned is that the mini-run (3km) from last year will be upgraded to mini-marathon (5km), bringing a greater challenge to more amateur runners.
A relevant person in charge of the organizing committee said that since the first Chongqing International Half Marathon in 2016, the competition has become the bronze-medal event issued by Chinese Athletic Association for two consecutive years. In the third year, the competition will be upgraded and the athletes will be better served to build good reputation for the event and aims to transform it into a top-tier event.
This year's event will initiate the “incentive high-five” cheering method. Volunteers will be labeled “exclusive logos” and when their hometown runners come to the water station, they will perform a high-five with them. It is the most cordial encouragement to the "townsmen". (Translated by Yang Lifu, Fathom Language Limited)
