CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In rainy days, it can be seen that a student without umbrella rushes into a milk tea shop in Chongqing Jiaotong University and soon takes a umbrella same as others out. What happens? It turns out that the shop offers umbrellas to students for free. There are 100 umbrellas for free which have been lent to students for over 500 times in a year. Students’ names are filled with the register list, and no one umbrella is lost.

In autumn, it usually rains in Chongqing. Without umbrella in a rainy day, many students will find a place to avoid it. The milk tea shop of Zhang Ting is a popular place. Students may catch a cold if getting wet in a rainy day, so Zhang has an idea that lending umbrellas to students.

Zhang bought 100 umbrellas online in one day of September 2017 and offered them to students for free. Student can lend it after writing down their name, major, lending date and telephone. After the news spread, many students from Chongqing Jiaotong University knows that they can lend umbrellas at this shop in a rainy day. The maximum of lending umbrellas is over 20 in a day.

“The student who lends the umbrella is mainly from Chongqing Jiaotong University. Generally, they will return it back within three days. Last time, one broke a umbrella and wanted to pay for it, but I refused.” said Zhang proudly. Except that one, 99 umbrellas are all in the shop.

At the beginning, some people thought that Zhang’s act is just for business. For this question, Zhang said that she does so with a clear conscience just because of these students.
