Photo Exhibition of Hechuan Old Map opens

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- "Photo Exhibition of Hechuan Old Map" will be held from October 12 to November 11 in Jiusuo Academy in Hechuan District. There will be nearly 50 photos of Hechuan old maps in the exhibition. The public can know the development process of Hechuan with those photos.

According to the organizer, the Hechuan old maps in this exhibition belong to Hechuan part in historical map photos collected by the Center in recent years. There are photos from the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620) to the 1980s. The history and changes of Hechuan can be directly seen in these photos. Meanwhile, these photos can offer reference for the economic, social, cultural and tourism development, urban planning, and historical and cultural landscape protection of Hechuan.

According to historical records, Hechuan is one of the birthplaces of Baren culture. Over 2,000 years, the development of Hechuan underwent ups and downs, except for several written records, just a few historical data are kept. The old maps scattered in different areas are valuable information for studying the economic and social development as well as urban construction of Hechuan. This exhibition will guide visitors to know the development of Hechuan. After the exhibition ends, the relevant photos will be collected by Jiusuo Academy.
