Autumn at Huang’anba

Mountains at Huang’anba in autumn is layered with all varieties of trees and are the most gorgeous. The red leaves are highlighted by the blue sky which itself contrasts sharply to the groves. Huang’anba is the best place to see colorful trees in Chengkou. From the town to Huang’anba, you can stop and see the colorful leaves on the way at any time, and you will find it is so natural when you actually visit there.

Transportation: got to Chengkou by bus at Chaotianmen Long Distance Bus Station, and transfer to Huang’anba by bus

Gorgeous Daba Mountain at Kanggu

In addition to Huang’anba, the beautiful Kanggu is also a feature of Chengkou. It is located at the hinder land of Daba Mountain. With a forest cover rate of 90 percent, it has deep canyons and lofty hills, and wins a title of the “Lesser Zhangjiajie”. With great air quality, cool summer and snowy winter, Kanggu is worth your visit in spite of that it is somewhat far from the main urban areas.

Transportation: Chongqingbei – Wanyuan (about 4 hours and a half) – Chengkou Long Distance Bus Station (about an hour) – Chengkou Short Distance Bus Station – Dongan Town – Kanggu Scenic Spot (about an hour and a half)

Unique beauty of Bashan Lake

Except for wondrous mountains, naturally, Chengkou is also home to bodies of water. In autumn, when the hills are covered in batches of leaves of various colors, an emerald Bashan Lake lies quietly in the center of the mountains in an elegant and charming way. The hills following along the elongated Bashan Lake seem to be unlimited, exuding a sense of exotic aesthetics regardless of the time of the year.

Location: about 1 kilometer from the upstream of Bashan Town, Chengkou County (The road condition is great along the way.)

Transportation: 1. Longtousi Bus Station - Chengkou County – Bashan Town. The bus from Chengkou County to Bashan Town leaves every hour.
