CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Since September 6th, many areas of Chongqing has entered autumn. According to the statistics of Chongqing Meteorological Observatory, the weather in Chongqing is always cloudy and rainy. The average of sunshine duration has reached a very low figure in the same period by October 24th. In this regard, meteorological experts in Chongqing think that the main factor is the active cold air from the north. The Chongqing Meteorological Observatory predicts that the cloudy and rainy weather will continue in the future.

The data of information center of Chongqing Meteorological Bureau indicate that from September 6th to October 23rd, the sunshine duration in Chongqing is 56.8 hours, which is 90.7 hours less than that in the same period of previous years. The sunshine duration in main urban districts is 31.1 hours, which is 88.6 hours less than that in the same period of previous years. If counting by day, it’s about 0.6 hour of sunshine duration. The sunshine duration in main urban districts and average sunshine duration across Chongqing set a new low record in the same period since 1951.
