Since its first use in 1987, the Yangtze River Cableway has changed its look 6 times.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 5-day annual equipment maintenance of the Yangtze River Cableway was complete half a day earlier and the cableway was managed to resume business at 4:30 on October 26.

After the physical examination, the Yangtze River Cableway not only is younger, its appearance has also changed -- the cars of the cableway is now in new outfit. 

This is the sixth time in 31 years since the cableway has been in service. The new coating of the cars is simple yet modern, its main pattern is derived from the two character of Chongqing (重庆), which resembles mountains in different elevations as well as the magnificent river flow below the cableway. To better distinguish the Yangtze River Cableway, the color of the cars are painted orange and gradually blended to yellow, which is both warm and vigorous.

When night comes, the bright colors together with the lighting facilities on the cars make the cableway a beauty when it travels across the river and between buildings. (Translated by Yang Lifu, Fathom Language Limited)
