Route 1: Chongqing – Guiyang – Zhenyuan County – Youyang

Tourist attractions: Xijiang Qianhu Miao’s Village, Zhenyuan Ancient Town, Youyang Taohuayuan

Xijiang Qianhu Miao’s Village

Thousands of Miao people’s pillar-supported dwellings (diaojiaolou), are situated here. You can see a Fengyu Bridge by the Baishui River and the beauty of pillar-supported dwelling group. Apart from that, there are also the hospitable Miao girls, papermaking with ancient methods at Shiqiao Village, bird nest making at Kala Village, silverware making at Kongbai Village and lusheng (a Miao musical instrument with multiple bamboo pipes ) making at Paika Village.

Zhenyuan Ancient Town

When visiting Zhenyuan Town, you can stroll around the gray-tiled street, see former residence of ancient figures as well as tour around Qinglong Cave, Wanshou Palace and Shiping Mountain. The top of the Shiping Mountain is the best place overlooking the whole town, and at night the Shiping Mountain is extremely gorgeous with its colorful lights.

Youyang Taohuayuan

The scenic spot is mainly composed of the Taigu Cave, a karst natural cave and Shiwai Taoyuan. The Taigu Cave has a large space, including deep underground rivers, corridors, and colorful stalactites. Naturally deposited calcifications have different shapes, which is quite interesting.

Route 2: Chongqing – Enshi -Shennongjia

Shimen River

The Shimen River has the most preserved original ecological ancient gorge river in the country. By your side is a lush jungle and down below is a crystal blue river. There are water ripples along the way, as well as glass suspension bridges, rock climbing, rock abseiling and so on.

Yesanxia

Enshi Yesanxia has attractions such as Hudie Rock, Qingjiang Grand Canyon, Huangheqiao Stone Peaks. Most of the time Huangheqiao is surrounded in mists, as if it is a fairy land left behind by gods.

Shennongjia

Nowadays, the forests at Shennongjia scenic area is full of colors. When a gust of wind blows through, the various colored forests in the mountains are as beautiful as dancing brocade. In addition, you can go to Guanmen Mountain to see pandas. You can go to Dajiuhu Luyuan to see the sika deer. And you can also go to Tianyan to see the clouds. If you are lucky, you can see the beautiful scene of snow and red maple together.
