Dilapidated and noisy street becomes a cultural gallery

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- To improve the surrounding of local citizens, Jiulongpo District started a comprehensive improvement initiative of the Tiema Street in May, as of now the project is nearly completed. The once dilapidated and noisy street is replaced by a of 289-meter long cultural gallery. The gallery, composed of 23 stand-alone cultural walls of which each is 7 meters tall, is a showcase of the industrial history and image of the district, together with locomotive and tank sculptures on Yangjiu Road, one of the leisure streets that feature industrial art.
