CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Chongqing University held a "Best Dormitory" campaign, the First Dormitory Culture Festival, which has attracted the attention and participation of overseas students. Unique foreign cultures are showed with exotic decoration design of the overseas.

The “Best Dormitory” campaign is one of the activities from the First Dormitory Culture Festival held by the Student Union of Chongqing University. All students from Chongqing University can participate in with their dormitory design work. Among participating dormitories, 7 international students’ dormitories attracted the majority. Foreign students from Indonesia, Pakistan, Botswana, Togo and other countries live in these dormitories. Each dormitory shows its own country's dormitory culture with the special decoration style.

These participating dormitories are dressed with the unique national culture as core. The featured objects such as national flag, pictures of landmark buildings, traditional batik fabric, traditional snacks and specialty food are placed in obvious positions to beauty the wall and desk. These objects are not only decorations but also the symbol of miss and pride for their country.

Some foreign students also make full use of the stuff recording the life in Chongqing, such as photos taken in Chongqing, college activity record and daily living necessities, to decorate their dormitory. Some call their dormitory as “Children's Park”. The dormitory is adorned by their favorite dolls, which creates a warm and loving atmosphere. The students in cute pajamas thoroughly immerse themselves in dormitory culture.

For girls who like all kinds of decorations used in festive, they don’t give up using small illuminations, photo walls, balloons with letters and small colored flags to dress their dormitory up. A participating international student has turned their dormitory into a dreamy room as if the princess lives in with above gadgets. A fairy tale world is here when small illuminations are running in the evening.

Several participants have fitted up their dormitories as colorful worlds with their unique hand-made gadgets. Both tropical culture and national environment are showed by lifelike flowers and leaves. The carefully hand-made house model means the hope for the future life; the wish wall and photo wall represent the passion of foreign students for life.
