CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- When it is late at night, your body should go into a state of hibernation. However, something naughty in your body yells. It is your stomach. Here we share some restaurants in Chongqing which are open 24 hours. They are around in every corner of the city, bringing warmth to people who come home late. You don’t need to worry a stomach that can’t be satisfied.

Huangjiajia Rice Noodle

Huangjia Rice Noodle has been a brand everybody knows at Xiejiawan for the past 20 years. The Wanwan Building across the restaurant is one of the oldest magical buildings of Chongqing. Now the restaurant is renamed Huangjiajia Rice Noodle and becomes a home to night owls.

The rice noodle is covered extensively in oil and delicious soup can only be enjoyed if you push away the oil. With pieces of meat, the hotter rice noodle gives a tremendous pleasure.

Chuanqi Chaoshou

The eatery is at the opposite of the Marriott Hotel at Jiaochangkou, the entrance connects to a small staircase, and it is small in size. It is said that the shop-owner enjoys online games and often plays late into night, that’s why they open this 24 hours eatery.

Each chaoshou, or wanton, is large in size, and the chili pepper oil smells flavorful and looks delicious, bringing back your lost appetite in no time. The wrapped dough is adequate in its thickness, which taste extremely good with large chunks of meats. Dumplings with leek and pork taste also great. It is named Warcraft Dumplings because of the shop-owner’s love for the Warcraft game. Though a trick in its naming, it tastes good.

Cuizhu Chuanchuanxiang Hot-pot

The eatery has been there for 16 years. Although slum-looking from the outside, it is rather spacious and cozy inside - a total of 36 tables are placed. Written on a board in the middle are recommended cuisines, which include Beef with Coriander, file fish, etc. To be frank they are somewhat pricey, though offered in large serve. Spicy Beef is the highlight of menu, and returning customers at least take 50 skewers of it. It’s meat taste tight but not overcooked, even if cooked for a long time.

Zhu’s Pangzi Hot-pot

It is said the three-floor restaurant used to be a small eatery. From that, you can imagine its booming business. The awesome hot-pot ingredients such as Sichuan Pepper and the red chili pepper bring you an insatiable appetite.

The dishes including tripe and other offal are served in large quantities which taste splendid, and the dip is the original sesame oil and garlic. Advantageous in its location, the shop can be visited once you finished your shopping at Jiefangbei.

Houliumei Suanlafen

The restaurant has been there for decades, right at the back of Huangjueping Center Street Bus Stop. The thin noodle used in its suanlafen, or Hot and Sour Sweet Potato Noodles, is custom-made and the suanlafen tastes sour as a whole, with medium spiciness. Maybe it is because that they want to offer food to those who come home late that they open the 24 hours eatery on the Huangjueping Street.
